Hannah Park designs, teaches and researches. She is a design educator with an obsession of the evolving role of design/designer. Her works focus on socially conscious, trans-disciplinary and UI/UX design. Another obsession of Park in helping design student’s career has been shaping her research in professional practice and exceptional economy of design industry. As a Service Learning Fellow at Texas State University, she facilitates opportunities for her students to obtain real world design experience before they graduate. She is also currently serving as a faculty advisor for AIGA TXState.
Before Park joined Texas State University, she worked as an assistant professor and head of the Graphic Design program at Memphis College of Art. She received her BFA at Parsons the New School for Design and her MDes at York University, and has worked with various companies and institutions in NYC, Plano and Toronto. Her sustainable dinnerware design for Verterra was exhibited at the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt National Design Musuem. Park’s research has been presented and published internationally including AIGA, Cumulus, TEDx, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and E&PDE.
