Internships

Internships may be available to students majoring in Communication Studies with at least a 2.75 overall GPA (3.0 preferred), have permission from the department internship committee and the department chair, and have completed COMM 3319 Organizational Communication with a grade of an A or B. ADONAI MEDIA INERNSHIP
Adonai Media is seeking acopywriter/graphic designer/photographer/researcher with demonstrated management experience or strong supervisory potential to step into a new position. Exact title and responsibilities will be determined based on experience and readiness. 20-30 hours a week PAID. Editor use Adobe CS3 on Macintosh and manage web content using Microsoft Frontpage. WEDDING & EVENT PLANNING INTERNSHIP - 36th STREET EVENTS
A wedding and event planning internship position is available at 36th Street Events, Austin. Requirements include four office hours per week and attending at least two weddings and/or events per month during the high season and one wedding per month during the remaining months. EVENT PLANNING INTERNSHIP - HILLS CAFE
Hills Cafe is looking for an energetic person who wants to learn about event planning and the music business. This unpaid internship could possibly lead to something more. The internship will include band booking (we have live music 5 nights a week), event coordination (private parties, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties and benefits). Hill Café has scheduled a 26-week concert series starting in April where we anticipate up to 2000 people in attendance. The time commitment is negotiable depending on your school requirements. MUSEUM ASSISTANT -  COLLEGE CREDIT
LBJ Museum of San Marcos desires a museum assistant to serve on a volunteer basis for one full semester with a possibility for continuing sesrvice for a second smester or during the summer terms. Primary job duties include giving tours, curating exhibits, management of data entry, processing  and preserving artifacts and archives, providing information to the public, preparing the gallery for tours, and office tasks as needed.
