About Sondra Howe
Sondra Howe came to Texas State in May, 2001 following a sales career with Capri Albums. She has also owned a photography studio and held outside advertising sales positions with the Journal Inquirer (a daily newspaper in Connecticut) as well as postions with national magazines and weekly newspapers (both in advertising sales and graphic design).
At Texas State, Sondra is responsible for the creation and design of all departmental brochures, handbooks, newsletters, marketing materials for departmental fund-raisers, and other desktop publishing needs. She photographs events for the department and includes them in her design work. She is also responsible for the design and maintenance of the department's website and supports the Communication Studies faculty with their administrative needs.
Her personal interests include teaching piano through a sacred-music approach and serving as a church pianist. She also gives much of her free time to providing graphic design, photography and website design/maintenance to both church and non-profit community organizations.
