Welcome to the Communication Design MFA Program at Texas State University-San Marcos!

On behalf of the School of Art and Design, the College of Fine Arts and Communication, the Graduate College, and Texas State University-San Marcos, we are all extremely pleased to announce the creation of a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) with a major in Communication Design effective in September 2007.

The M.F.A. in Communication Design facilitates exciting opportunities for practicing advertising art directors, graphic designers, and digital media designers to advance their educations by means of online courses, extended weekend seminars, summer seminars, and independent directed studies. Learners will have the opportunity to study with some of the most highly acclaimed communication designers in America and beyond. For students seeking a future career in higher education, the program provides the terminal degree in the visual communication design discipline.
