Sherry Snowden began teaching at Texas State University in January 2002, serving as a Lecturer in Art Education. She currently serves as Higher Education Division Chair for the Texas Art Education Association. She is a member of the National Art Education Association and a charter member of the Center for Educator Development in the Fine Arts. Sherry has presented numerous times at state and national art education conferences. Her professional ambition is to inspire future educators through her Art Education classes. She serves as the faculty advisor of the National Art Education Association Student Chapter at Texas State University. Each summer through her ARTT 3370 courses, she serves as director of the University’s Kid’s Kollege Art Camp. Sherry received a B.S. in Education, majoring in Art, a B. S. in Home Economics-Interior Design and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education, from Southwest Texas State University. She received Administration-Principal Certification from Texas State University.
