(Pharr, TX) received her MFA in Metals/Jewelry in 2012 from East Carolina University, and a BFA in Metals/Jewelry in 2008 from Texas State University. Laritza currently teaches 3D Design Foundations and Metal Design courses. She has taught workshops, lectured, exhibited nationally, and in 2015 was invited to participate in Hip Pop, American Craft Council showcase. She maintains an active studio practice that is underpinned by the integration of illustration, painting and metalsmithing techniques to create body oriented artwork. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Arkansas Art Center, AK and Racine Art Museum, WI. Laritza’s works have been published in 500 Necklaces: contemporary interpretation of timeless form, New Earrings: 500 Designs from Around the World, Metalsmith magazine and American Craft magazine. Laritza lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two cats.
