ARTC4310 Communication Design Practicum)

The internship is open to all Communication Design majors who have been accepted into the upper division. To gain credit for an internship, students must work in an approved design/advertising firm for a minimum of 140 hours. Although most of our interns work with Austin and San Antonio firms, ComDes students have held internships all over the United States and in Europe. The internship course will replace an ARTC upper division elective.

• Join the public TRACS site called "ComDes Internships" and read the guide located in the resource folder.
  TRACS > Membership > Search Joinable Sites for "ComDes Internships" > Join. Once you join the site you will receive announcements regarding current internship requests.
• Attend one of the meetings held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Meetings will be announced on the TRACS site and posted in the JCMitte Building. 
• Contact the Internship Coordinator, Holly Shields, or talk to your advisor.
